Accessibility statement

Our commitment to a website that works for everyone.

Hrnomica Advisory LLC is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors with disabilities. We believe accessibility is part of quality, not an afterthought, and we build it into the site rather than bolting it on.

What we have done

  • We use semantic HTML so that headings, lists, and navigation have meaningful structure for assistive technology.
  • We provide a "skip to content" link so keyboard users can move past the navigation.
  • We use text that can be enlarged without loss of function, and layouts that reflow on smaller screens.
  • We keep color contrast between text and background reasonably strong, and we do not rely on color alone to convey meaning.
  • We avoid content that flashes, moves unexpectedly, or plays automatically.
  • We give images descriptive alternative text and label form fields clearly.
  • We make interactive elements reachable and operable with a keyboard, and we mark the current page for orientation.

Standards we aim toward

We aim to follow the widely recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines at the AA level as our target. These guidelines are extensive, and we treat them as a direction of travel rather than a claim of perfection. Where we fall short, we want to know so we can improve.

Known limitations

Some older content may not yet meet every guideline, and third-party documents we link to are outside our control. We review the site periodically and fix issues as we find them. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult to use, contact [email protected] and describe what happened and which page you were on. We will respond, work to fix the issue, and, where needed, provide the information you need in an alternative format.

Assistive technology and testing

We test the site with keyboard navigation and with a screen reader to confirm that the structure we intend is the structure that is announced. We check that headings form a sensible outline, that links make sense out of context, and that form fields are labelled so they can be completed without sight. We also test at high zoom levels and with enlarged text to confirm that the layout reflows rather than clipping content.

Alternative formats

If you would prefer the information on this site in another format, such as plain text or a larger type size, contact [email protected] and tell us what would help. We will provide it. We would rather adapt to your needs than ask you to work around our design.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We consider it whenever we add or change content, and we welcome feedback from users who rely on assistive technology. Your input makes the site better for everyone. We review the whole site periodically, and every new page passes the same checks before it goes live.

We also keep a written record of accessibility issues raised by visitors and track them to resolution, so that a problem reported once is not reported again. If you have contacted us about a barrier in the past, we would welcome the chance to confirm that it has been addressed to your satisfaction.
